A sole source modification to contract number DAAB07-95-D-A004 is planned for the purchase of one (1) additional Replacement Satellite Configuration Control Element (RSCCE). The RSCCE provides real-time monitoring and control of the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) III satellite platform and communication payload. It will simultaneously control and acquire telemetry data from a pre-designated DSCS III satellite. The contractor is Stanford Telecommunications Inc., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919. There is no technical data available to date for competitive sources to evaluate, and competition is not feasible at this time.
