58 -- TELECOMMUNICATIONS MATERIALS/FIBER OPTIC CABLE SOL DYNEPA 9901.150a DUE 031599 POC POC-Tammie Green, Contract Specialist (ph: 202/260-4623) DynCorp Information and Engineering Technology (DynCorp), in support of its on-site telecommunications CPAF contract (68-W2-0013) with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has a requirement for telecommunications materials and fiber optic cable for use in the EPA New Headquarters Development Project. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. Solicitation #9901.150a is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. This procurement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Requirement is forthe following Items: Item 0001 -- Power meter & source, equivalent to Noyse FNS-5-5; 2 ea. Item 0002 -- OTDR, equivalent to Noyse FNS100DM; 1 ea. The following items 3 and 4 must be manufactured by one of the 4 vendors Berk-tek, Belden, Comscope, Mohawk in order to maintain existing hardware connectivety warranty. Item 0003 -- Plenum rated Fiber Optic Cable, Composite, tight buffered, 12 strand MM/12 strand SM, capable of supporting Gigabite Ethernet and other high speed applications, reel length of 1,000 feet, equivalent to Mohawk FOH43074; Qty. 12,000 feet; Item 0004 -- Plemnum rated Fiber Optic Cable, equivalent to Mohawk M92612; Qty. 1000 feet; Item 0005 -- MM Fiber connector, equivalent to Seicor 95-000-41; Qty. 750 ea. Item 0006 SM fiber connector, equivalent to Seicor 95-200-41; Qty. 750 ea. Item 0007 -- ST unicam connector, equivalent to Seicor; Qty. 100 ea. Item 0008 thru 0011 must be the stipulated manufacturer and part number to maintain the existing connectivity 25 years warranty provided by Ortronics.
