This pilot was developed in response to the National Performance Review's call for increased use of electronic commerce in exchanging procurement information. Vendors wishing to participate in this procurement must first install and utilize the applications (provided free of charge) identified at http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/NAIS_Pilot/ven_index.html. NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a composite laser rod. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3826 and 500 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 1-168-GLF.2311 is on or about March 2, 1999, with an anticipated quote due date of on or about March 17, 1999.
