Solicitation scheduled to issue on 3/1/99. This solicitation is
re-issued to incorporate the following Multiple Award Schedule,
previously managed in Auburn, Washington: FSC Group 68, Part I, Section
A -- Road Stabilization/Ice Melting Chemicals or Chemical Formulations,
Aircraft Deicers, Water Conditioning Salt and Introduction of New
Products. This solicitation is a standing solicitation for Federal
Supply Schedule FSC Group 68, Part I, Section A from which the
Government contemplates award of contracts for supplies listed in the
Schedule of Items. This solicitation will remain in effect unless
amended and/or replaced by an updated solicitation. There is no closing
date for receipt of offers, therefore, offers may be submitted for
consideration at any time during the life of this solicitation.
Effective immediately, this Federal Supply Schedule will no longerhave
a prescribed beginning and ending date. The schedule period will be
continuous, and will contain contracts with periods that commence on
the date of award(DOA) and expire five years (exclusive of any options)
from the DOA. In addition the Multiple Award Schedule solicitations
will become "standing" opportunities for new offers. This means that
new offers may be forwarded to the Contracting Officers, at the address
above, at any time. Contracts awarded under this solicitation will be
in effect for five years from date of award, unless further extended
pursuant to any Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, or canceled
sooner. FSC 6810 and 6850, Standard Commercial Products; Multiple
Award Schedule; Fixed Price with EPA; Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite
Quantity contracts for road stabilization/ice melting chemicals or
chemical formulations, aircraft deicers, water conditioning salt and
introduction of new products. New features are worldwide coverage,
mandatory acceptance of Government credit card, opportunity to
introduce new products, incorporation of 2000 compliance (Y2K) clause,
and a new security requirement for hand delivered offers. To assist
customer agencies to determine when they should seek a price decrease,
a level called the maximum order will be established under each
contract. When an agency order exceeds this amount, it is recommended
that the agency contact the vendor for a reduced price. The vendors
will not be obligated to accept these orders in accordance with FAR
52.216-19. UNDER THIS SOLICITATION, OFFERS WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED FOR
BRANDS IDENTICAL TO THOSE CURRENTLY AWARDED. See Note 12(Trade
