This is an amendment to a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement originally released on December 10, 1998 for engineering, technical, administrative, operational, maintenance, repair, and calibration support services for the Propulsion and Power Department (AIR 4.4). This amendment changes the SIC from 8711 to 8731. The department of the Naval Air Systems Command, is the lead activity for systems engineering and integration, engineering analysis and evaluation, test and evaluation and in-service engineering support of Naval air propulsion and power systems, including: air breathing engines and manned and unmanned aircraft and missiles; electrical power generating, battery and power conversion systems; electrical power distribution systems, electrical power quality, electrical starting and emergency electrical power systems; auxiliary, secondary and emergency power systems; helicopter transmissions and drive systems; aircraft and engine fuel systems, and ground refueling systems; turbine engine fuel; gearbox, propeller and transmission oils and greases and propulsion systems performance. Services are estimated to be for one year with option provisions for four additional one year option periods. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
