The Fleet Industrial Supply Center, San Diego in support of the Medical Logistics Board, Region 9 is seeking comments and questions on an information document (Draft Work Statement) from experienced contractors who provide inventory, removal, transport, reimbursement, and disposal of expired pharmaceuticals. Specifically, we want industry to assist in the identification of commercial practices and concepts that should be considered for inclusion in a future solicitation for said requirement. The government seeks to reduce warehousing requirements, cost, and turn-around time for credits/exchanges from pharmaceutical manufacturers. In addition, the government seeks to streamline government accounting and inventory practices. A copy of the Draft Work Statement is included at the FISC website http:///www.sd.fisc.navy.mil . No additional written information is available. The solicitation will be issued at a later date. Requests for the solicitation that result from this announcementwill be disregarded.
