Service (IRS) has a need for on-site medical consulting services for
the IRS Workers' Compensation Center (WCC). The contractor shall
provide professional medical consulting services relating to fitness
for duty determinations in connection with job-related injury and
illness claims pursuant to the Federal Employees Compensation Act
(FECA). Claimants are geographically dispersed throughout the United
States and even in some foreign countries. Services will be required on
an as-needed basis. Services shall not exceed twenty-four (24) hours in
any one week. Services will be performed at the IRS Workers'
Compensation Center (WCC), 11 South 12th Street, Suite 110, Richmond,
VA. These services are estimated not-to-exceed 1,248 hours each year
for the initial year (October 1, l999 through September 30, 2000). The
contract will contain two (2) one-year options. The Standard
Industrial Code (SIC) is 8011,with a $5.0 million size standard. The
target date for issuance of the solicitation ison or about 04/12/99.
