The project consists of the rehabilitation of Honeysuckle Avenue. The work includes roadway excavation, placement of aggregate base and hot asphalt concrete pavement, and construction of paved waterways. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Roadway Excavation, 500 m3; Aggregate base, Grading C or D, 650 t; Hot asphalt concrete pavement, Class C, Grading C, 180 t; Hot asphalt concrete pavement, Class C, Grading D, 145 t; Paved Waterway, type 6, 360 m2. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1,000,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
