DESCRIPTION OF WORK: On the right abutment and at the upstream toe of the earthen dam the contractor shall drill 22 holes; each hole is approximately 200 feet deep. Holes will be drilled through silt overburden and into cemented and uncemented gravels. Holes are 3 to 4 inches in diameter. Twenty holes will be pressure grouted and some will be pressure grouted through PVC sleeve pipes. After grouting, two core holes will be drilled in the gravels Duples drilling method will be required for the holes that contain the sleeve pipes.
