The work to be performed under this acquisition includes (1) reshaping and finishing subgrade, finishing and placing a 3-inch-thick aggreagate base course, furnishing and applying prime coat, and furnishing and placing a 2-inich-thick hot mix bituminous pavement on approximately 9,000 square feet of roadway; and (2) sealing cracks, brooming, and applying liquid asphalt binder and cover aggregate (chip seal coat) on approximately 7.3 miles of 22-foot-wide roadway.The estimated price range of the work is $100,000 to $250,000. The work is located approximately 60 miles southwest of Casper, Wyoming in Carbon County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available April 1, 1999. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before March 17, 1999. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for May 6, 1999, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Wyoming Area Office, 705 Pendell Boulevard, 2 miles west of Casper, 3 blocks south of Highway 20 & 26, Mills, Wyoming. The contract is to be completed within 60 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundadble check or money order of $9.00. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, Federal Building, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana, or Wyoming Area Office, 705 Pendell Boulevard, Mills, Wyoming. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
