Demolition: Perform demolition of walls, ceilings, doors and windows, roll-up door, air handling and ventilating equipment, plumbing installations, electrical wiring, lighting, and fire alarm system installations, as indicated on contract drawings. 2. Exterior: Install new exterior doors and replace windows. Construct entry ramp, washdown slab and entrance enhancement features. 3. Interior: Construct walls, suspended ceilings, doors and windows and provide new floor and wall finishes throughout. Reconstruct restrooms and janitor_s closet, and install new fixtures and accessories. Construct a scuba tank-filling basin and install a deep sink. 4. Systems: Provide plumbing installations to support new construction. Provide a complete heating, ventilating and air conditioning system and all related ductwork and accessories. Provide separate ventilating installations for restrooms, scuba tank filling area, and spray room. Modify the existing fire suppression sprinkler compressor system. Relocate existing arts and crafts compressor system. Provide new lighting, electrical outlets, equipment hardwiring and related electrical installations as required. Upgrade existing fire detection and alarm systems Period of performance is 180 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is issued. Solicitation issue date of 5 Apr 99 and bid opening date of 5 May 99 are tentative. The applicable SIC Code and size standard for this acquisition are 1542/$17.0M. The estimated range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation is unrestricted.
