16 -- PROPELLER SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SOL N68335-99-Q-0163 DUE 031799 POC Kathleen Kiley-DiPietro, Contract Specialist (732)323-5197 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into negotiations, on a sole source basis with Hamilton Standard Corporation for twelve (12) each Synchrophaser Test Sets, P/N 1383AS200-1. Hamilton Standard, the propeller and propeller system manufacturer for the T56 powered aircraft, designed and developed the synchrophaser test sets. The fleet is currently operating at a deficit and is in need of additional synchrphaser test sets. The government intends to procure these services under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) FAR 6.302-1. The government does not own data, drawings, software code or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice will be solely within the discretion of the government.
