S. Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to issue Firm-Fixed Price Delivery Orders to AlliedSignal Engines, 111 S. 34th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85072-2181 for the acquisition of various T-55 and T-53 spare parts designated as sole source. The parts are as follows: Parts Kits, NSN: 2840-01-347-4930, P/N: 2-200-071-27, quantity: 70 each; Blade Set Turbine, NSN: 2840-01-187-8728, P/N: 2-100-027-09, quantity 676 each; Housing Assembly, NSN: 2840-00-925-4186; P/N: 1-060-220-03; quantity: 17 each; and Blade Turbine Engine, NSN: 2840-01-177-9015, P/N: 2-121-140-43, quantity: 2,667 each. The delivery orders will be for the initial quantity as indicated with a 100% option. FOB point for all orders placed will be Origin. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1. All the parts listed, except the Housing Assembly, have been designated Flight Safety Parts. Only approved sources who have successfully completed the required engineering test(s) will be considered for award of these flight safety parts. Only one source or limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Government requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition.
