NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for the replacement and installation of ten (10) Fire Detection Control Panels in buildings 30MOW, 30L, and 36. This procurement is open to large and small business concerns and will be conducted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program using the NASA Midrange selection procedures,with a range between $100,000, and $250,000. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 1731, Electrical Work, and 7.0 Million/Average for 3 years respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-10. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about March 15, 1999, with an anticipated offer closing date of about April 25, 1999. The construction Contractor will be required to commence work and complete the project within 150 days after written notice to proceed. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
