U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to issue a sole
source solicitation to Dr. Michael Lebowitz; Arizona Prevention center;
1501 N. Campbell Avenue; Tucson, AZ 85724 to study the exposure to
children from drinking water using the NHEXAS drinking water data. This
research effort will test if NHEXAS drinking water data can be used to
improve exposure estimates. The findings will help the Office of Water
meet the goals set by The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) as amended by
Congress in 1996 which requires EPA to promulgate national drinking
water regulations for contaminants and disinfectant byproducts. The
Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract using the
Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13. The EPA is FACNET
