Paul Rhodes (407)380-4869 This is a sole source Acquisition for the extension in the delivery of Contractor Maintenance Supply Support (CMSS) for the Precision Gunnery Training System (PGTS) Improved Target Acquisition System (ITS) Field Tactical Trainer (FTT) Training System. The PGTS ITS FTT is a modification to the original TOW FTT trainer and is being fielded in support of the tactical ITS Weapon System. The PGTS TOW FTT was developed and produced by the Locked Martin Fairchild Corporation under Contract N61339-87-C-0056. This increase shall extend the current CMSS for 9 months and provide support for an additional 75 TOW ITS FTT tactical Engagement Simulators, 232 Embedded Training Card Sets, and 38 Improved Instructor Stations. Currently the ITS FTT technical data package, Tools and Test Equipment and Interim Support items lists are still in development by the Contractor. Consequently, there is no technical data (i.e. drawings, publications, or software) available to enable performance of this CMSS by any other source. The authority for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and its justification is that the supplies (or services) required are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
