Maintenance shall consist of cleaning, lubricating, adjusting and replacing parts, except as otherwise noted, to keep the equipment in optimum operating condition. Cleaning necessary to keep the machines in good operating condition between scheduled maintenance calls is the responsibility of the operators of the equipment. Maintenance hereunder includes interim service calls as required to maintain the machines in optimum operating condition. Contractor shall furnish all parts as required. Parts shall be new or refurbished where feasible and of original manufacture. Parts shall be shipped within 36 hours after receipt of call. Contractor shall begin work on any equipment no later than 24 hours after receipt of call. Contractor shall provide all unique test equipment and fixtures necessary to accomplish the maintenance. The contractor shall provide all applicable factory equipment performance documents, service manuals and drawings to facilitate on-site maintenance and conversion/performance upgrades. Contractor shall have to submit evidence of past technical performance with aforementioned Metrum-Datatape Inc, equipment including conversion/performance upgrades, ability to solve problems, available local and in-plant labor skills, transportation of large equipment items and available technical facilities. Contractor shall provide technical and engineering service to supplement on site-maintenance and repair. Examples of technical and engineering services are half-speed head conversion/performance upgrades, MARS II conversion/performance upgrades from one MARS II series variant to another MARS II series variant and any other conversion/performance upgrades that conform to the latest factory performance specifications on designated equipment. Conversion/performance upgrades shall also be applicable to software and firmware on designate equipment. Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years current experience in maintaining, repairing and upgrading all equipment as listed above except where noted by an asterisk which indicates (4) years current experience.
