An approximate 240 calendar day effort to clean and line potable water mains at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Work operations consist of the in-place cleaning and cement mortar lining of 400mm, 300mm, 250mm, 200mm, and 100mm cast and ductile iron water mains. In addition, furnish and replace all existing in-line gate valves and valve boxes within the pipe lining limits, fire hydrant and service connection valves where indicated on contract drawings, and accompanying valve boxes. Installation of bulkheads, or temporary cut-in valves is required where shown on the plans, and where required to isolate pipe sections for cleaning and lining. Furnish, install and remove temporary by-pass piping along with temporary service hoses, fittings, valves, and fire hydrants in accordance with contract documents. The magnitude of this requirement in terms of price shall be between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this requirement is 1623.
