The Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a contract for on-site Warehousing and Mail/Messenger Services in support of the Office of Research and Development (ORD) National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL) Environmental Sciences Division (ESD) located in Las Vegas, NV. The acquisition will be made as a small business set-aside. A firm fixed-price, performance-based contract with a base year (beginning October 1, 1999) and four single year option periods (continuing through September 30, 2004 if all options are exercised) is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation. The associated Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7389 with a size standard of $5,000,000. This procurement will not be made under FAR Part 12 provisions. Warehouse functions shall include shipping and receiving supplies and equipment, delivering equipment and supplies to the laboratory complex; and maintaining an inventory of laboratory and office supplies. Mail/messenger service shall include processing and distributing all incoming, outgoing, and internal mail; pick up from and delivery of mail to the post office and other locations within the Las Vegas area; and mailing and receiving various analytical samples. It is estimated that the solicitation will be issued on or about April 9, 1999. Proposals will be due 45 days after the RFP issuance date. This acquisition represents a follow-on to contract 68C60061 with Gray Personnel Services.
