and Open Competition. All responsible sources may submit an offer.
DESCRIPTION: The project consists of constructing approximately 2,900
linear feet of flood channel improvements along the Petaluma River
upstream of the Lakeville Street Bridge. Items ofwork include clearing
and grubbing, channel excavation, compacted fill, rock slope
protection, steel sheet pile flood walls, storm drainage piping,
mitigation planting, chain link and redwood fencing, construction of a
concrete weir structure, and construction of two storm drainage pump
stations. Job location Petaluma, Sonoma County, California. The
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 1629. The size standard
for this SIC code is $17M average annual gross revenue for the last (3)
three fiscal years. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000 to
$10,000,000. Large businesses competing for this project must comply
with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a
subcontracting plan on the part of the work it intends to subcontract.
Contract duration is approximately 578 calendar days. Commencement of
work is 10 calendar days after issuing notice of proceed. Liquidated
damages $1,850 per day. Bid Guarantee, Performance and Payment bonds
are required. Prospective bidders are invited to attend a tour of the
work site to be conducted by the Government on April 13, 1999, at 10:30
a. m. Solicitation will be available on or about March 31, 1999. Firms
