The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The work of this contract consists of the general construction of three composting toilets, eight vault toilets, and five restroom buildings (including demolition of four existing restroom structures). In addition, it includes the rehabilitation of one composting toilet, three restroom buildings, and the information center, replacement of sewer and water mains, well head protection, a disinfection and water filter system, and an on-site wastewater disposal system. -- The work is located at fourteen separate locations in Acadia National Park.
