This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SOLICITATION NUMBER: F6460599Q0264. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document, and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-09. Standard Industrial Classification code: 3537. Small business size standard: 750 employees. Quotes are solicited from all sources. This acquisition shall be unrestricted as to size standards. This RFQ contains two (2) contract line item numbers (CLINs): CLIN 0001 Hyster Model H550F-AF Lift Truck Bottom Lift Container Handler/Or Equal (1) each; CLIN 0002 1989 Caterpillar Container Handler, Model DV43 Trade In. Serial number 62Y00694, U.S. Air Force Registration Number 89E 554. The model is operable and serviceable with approximately 800 operating hours on original frame and power train. Moderate to severe corrosion on some body panels. Options included: Four-wheel drive, all terrain, tilt and pile slope, and fixed 20-foot top handling attachment. As is no warranty. Currently the equipment is located in Okinawa, Japan. The government shall furnish the equipment FOB Lathrop CA, or at contractors requested port. This item shall be shipped to reach the port no later than 1 JUL 99. Shipping charges to any alternate port shall be considered in evaluation for award. Any proposals offering less than $80,000 trade in credit shall not be considered for award. A picture of this equipment may be obtained by e-mail request to the listed points of contact. The vendor shall include costof FOB delivery and transportation from factory to Naha, Japan (Okinawa). Period of Performance: The vendor shall submit a timeline detailing the number of days to complete manufacture, delivery with any proposal. A firm fixed price purchase order is contemplated for any resultant award. Multiple proposals are invited.
