This procurement is for the design, manufacture, and delivery of a 500/767 kilovolt-ampere (kVA), 13.8-kilovolt (kV) to 480Y/277-volt (V) secondary unit substation to replace an existing 44-year-old unit substation at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The substation shall be an indoor, metal-enclosed, dry-type, unit substation rated at 13,800/480Y/277-V, 3-phase, 4-wire, 60-Hertz (Hz), delta to wye connected, 500-kVa (self-cooled) and 767-kVa (forced-air cooled) with incoming, transforming, and outgoing sections arranged left to right. The primary switchgear shall have a fault closing and momentary rating of 40,000-A root mean square (RMS) asymmetrical, rated short-time current (2 seconds) of 25,000-A RMS symmetrical with a continuous current rating of 600-A.
