A -- HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTER SYSTEM (HPCS) SOL PAN 31243-99 DUE 042399 POC MAJ Anthony J. Nicolella, 256-876-5354 The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center (DIA/MSIC), intends to issue a modification to an existing contract on a sole source basis to Nichols Research Corporation for a one time disassembly, move, and re-assembly of MSIC's High Performance Computer System (HPCS) and all of its associated equipment. Selected contractor shall be responsible for: 1). ensuring that the HPCS and all its associated equipment are fully operational upon re-assembly; 2). providing all the necessary equipment (including material handling and transportation assets) to disassemble, move, and re-assemble the HPCS and all its associated equipment; and 3). providing experienced personnel to accomplish the above task during a four-day period in late 1999. The Government anticipates executing a Firm-Fixed-Price contract modification to the Nichols Research Corporation Contract DAAH03-92-C-0118 NLT 30 April 1999. All offerors interested in submitting an offer to provide this service will be considered. No RFQs or RFPs shall be issued other than this notice.
