Herting The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks to increase the maximum hours under a current contract that includes systems engineering services to support PBGC automated information systems. The services required include, but are not limited to: Year 2000 Compliance Testing for Participant Records Information Management System (PRISM), Image Processing System (IPS), and Case Administration System (CAS);Independent Verification and Validation for PRISM and systems maintained by the Consolidated Maintenance Team (CMT); Systems Support for CAS, IPS, PRISM, Premium Accounting System (PAS), and Trust; Program Support for Automated Information System (AIS) Security Program, Configuration Management, and Conversion to MS Exchange. This is a continuation of work already undertaken by an existing provider. In view of the provider's familiarity with the complexities of PBGC, extensive systems experience with CAS, IPS, PRISM, program experience in AIS Security, Year 2000, and Configuration Management, communication requirements, and the time already spent in learning the work and PBGC policies and procedures, it is PBGC's belief that it would be in our best interest for the current provider to complete the tasks within the existing time frames under the contract.
