The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland, has a requirement for a contractor to supply and install a new Plume Abatement (hybrid or wet and dry) Cooling Tower with an option to construct a basin for that tower. The Contractor is also required to dismantle and dispose of the existing cooling tower. The cooling tower will be used for the 20 MW NIST research reactor located in Building 235. The requirement is being procured as a turn-key operation. Complete specifications will be provided with the solicitation. The period of performance of the requirement is 30 months after contract award. Within the period of performance, the Contractor will be required to install the basin and cooling tower, as notified by the Government.
