45 -- MARBLE AND GRANTIE SOL IFB No. 990019 DUE 041399 POC Contact Lauren Wilson, (202) 226-1932 The Architect of the Capitol intends to procure dimension marble stone and granite of various sizes, including marble toilet partitions, stiles, urinal screens, coves and granite vanity tops, bases, floor tiles, counter tops and polished slabs for the renovation of toilet rooms, ADA, Russell Senate Office Building. The contractor shall have the choice of furnishing for the marble, either Alabama White or White Cherokee, and the choice of furnishing for the granite, either Solar White or Mount Airy. No cross combinations of materials or substitution for materials specified will be permitted. The Contractor shall fabricate dimension stonework in sizes and shapes required to comply with the requirements in the solicitation. This stone will be installed by others as a part of the Renovation of Toilet Rooms. Bidders are urged and expected to inspect the Architect's samples to match the aesthetic effects. In no event shall failure to inspect the Architect's samples constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
