Huts -- Huts are constructed utilizing the hand lay-up technique; the
laminate schedule is as follows: 1. 20mills ISO NPG polyester gel-coat
2. One Layer 1-1/2oz. Mat. 3. Two layers 2408 BTI fabric 4. One layer
1-1/2oz. Mat. 5. All layers are saturated with polyester resin 6. 3/4"
wood hardbacks are installed for eyebolt attach points and solar panel
attachment 7. Wood and fiberglass 16" shelf is installed 8. Wood and
fiberglass floor is installed 9. Interior of hut is gel-coated 10.
Eight eyebolts are installed and fiberglass door is installed Huts are
designed to house seismic telemetry equipment. This includes radio
transmitters, VCOs (Voltage Control Osilators), batteries, solar
panels, and associated electronics. The huts must withstand
temperatures of as low as -40 degrees F and winds to 100 miles per
hour. Huts are approximately 4 feet by 4 feet square and 5 feet tall.
One side of the roof is cut at an approximate 45 degree angle to mount
solar panels on and made of fiberglass (drawing provided). Posted
