D -- ADP SUPPORT FOR AHCPR SOL AHCPR-99-0001 POC Sharon Williams, 301-594-7192 The Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is soliciting proposals (on a full and open competitive basis)for a 5-year contract to provide for database management; computer programming (including statistical and econometric analysis, microsimulation modeling, complex survey design estimates, and analytical statistics from large administrative databases); computer-related consulting and technical assistance; web support; public use file production; and analysis activities. Sources must have an understanding of and experience in the provision of database management and file construction; programming support for statistical analysis and microsimulation modeling; dissemination (including production of data files for outside users as well as web-site maintenance); and capability, experience and technical skill to manage and analyze a large, multi-year, multi-source, multi-user database and large administrative encounter-level and clinical data in support of health services research. Sources must also possess the staff and other resources needed to expeditiously carry out the different types of activities listed above. It is estimated that RFP No. AHCPR-98-0001 will be issued by March 31, 1999, and proposals will be due in the Contracting Office approximately 45 calendar days thereafter.
