necessary to perform drydocking repairs including but not limited to
the following base items: (1) Spud and spud well preservation, (2)
shaft removal, inspection, and reinstallation, (3) Renew water
lubricated shaft bearings, (4) remove and reinstall propellers, (50
remove, inspect, and reinstall steering rudder assemblies, (6) clean
and test grid cooler, (7) overhaul and test valves, (8) tank cleaning
and inspection: fuel removal and disposal, (9) inspect various deck
fittings, (10) preserve barge buoy deck, (11) preserve underwater body
Tender & Barge), (12) preserve freeboard (Tender & Barge), (13)
provide temporary logistics, (140 routine drydocking. Optional items
include but are not limited to the following: (1) welding repairs, 92)
tender spud well liner renewal, (3) barge spud well liner renewal, (4)
shaft repairs, (5) inspection of government property, (6) fabricate
shaft, (7) strut barrel renewal, (8) strut renewal, (9) preserve sewage
tank, (10) ultrasonic testing. Vessels homepier is Buchanan, TN. Place
of performance is restricted to the western rivers of the united
states. The western rivers means the navigable portions of the
mississippi rivers and its tributaries of the mississippi river
including only the waterways within the areas of jurisdiction of Coast
Guard Aids to navigation facilities as described in light list volume
V (COMDTINST M16502.5), and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to the
mouth of the Mobile River. This includes protection portions of the
Intra coaastal waterway connected to the western rivers, but
specifically excludes unprotected or open waters such as mobile bay,
lake borne, or the gulf of mexico. Vessels availability schedul is 12
July 1999 for 40 calendar days. The vessel is a 65 Foot " Class A"
Tender and a 130 Foot Barge. All referenced documents are available for
viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA. A charge of
$100.00 dollars is required in the form of a certified check or money
order made payable to the US Coast Guard for requested drawings. All
businesses, large and small are encourage to submit bids for the
subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
after 31 March 19999. All responsible sources may submit a bid which
shall be considered by the US Coast Guard. ATTENTION: Minority, womened
owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises DBEs). The department of
transportation (DOT) short term lending program (STLP) offers working
capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts
receiveable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of
