Roberts, Contracting Officer (415) 975-4680 Subject to funding limitations, RFP for the continued operation of the Phoenix Job Corps Center, Phoenix, AZ will be available on or about April 16, 1999, for issue in response to written request. The center is located at 518 South Third Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004, and it's contract capacity is 415 students. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. Contractors will manage and operate a Government-owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, and provision of health services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations and policy handbooks. A Pre-Proposal walk through of the center will be convened on April 22, 1999 at 1:00 PM, followed immediately by a Pre-proposal Conference to be held on center. It is anticipated that a cost reimbursement contract will extend over the period of November 1, 1999 through October 31, 2001, with three potential options of one year each. Closing date for submission of proposals to RFP IX-99-01 will be June 11, 1999 at 4:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time.
