Q -- X-RAY TECHNICIAN SOL RFQ 243-005 DUE 043099 POC Doug Fear, Contracting Officer, Phone: (606) 253-8894 The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a non-personal services contract for X-ray Technician Services. Duties are to be performed at the Federal Prison Camp, Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, North Carolina. Duties include: performing normal x-ray duties such as chest, abdominal, and extremity x-rays; managing stock of x-ray supplies; and submitting written reports, evaluations, and operation plans for the x-ray department if requested by Health Services Administrator. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. Individual must be a licensed/certified x-ray technician in the state of North Carolina, and be a graduate of an approved x-ray technician school. Medical liability insurance shall be required. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government with price and other factors considered. Services will be required during the normal work week, with a maximum of two (2) sessions per week (1 session = 3 hours), for an estimated maximum of 104 sessions per year. The base year of the contract will run for 12 months from the date of award with four (4) one year option periods for renewal. Anticipated award date is May 28, 1999. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be mailed approximately April 2, 1999 with an anticipated due date of April 30, 1999. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type contract. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
