Management, Brenda.S.Summers@noaa.gov. The National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate Monitoring and Diagnostic
Laboratories (CMDL), is planning on purchasing 100 each ozonesondes
which shall include 1) Sensor for detecting ozone must be of the
electrochemical concentration cell (ECC) type, 2) Pump must be
non-reactive with ozone and capable of working in the altitude range of
0-35km. A thermistor for measuring pump temperature must be mounted in
the pump, 3) Ozonesonde must be capable of measuring ozone with an
accuracy and precision of 5% over the altitude range of 0-30km and for
ozone mixing ratios of 0-15 parts per million by volume, 4) Ozonesonde
must provide an electronics interface with the Vaisala RS-80 radiosonde
with the following characteristics: a) Capable of mounting within the
chassis of the ozonesonde and interconnecting with the sensor output
and the pump thermistor with all connections provided. b) Provide power
source (battery) for interface board and pump operation. c) Capable of
providing 1 second data output. d) Sensor current must be read with 12
bit accuracy. e) Be able to provide conversion of the Vaisala RS-80
pressure, temperature and humidity information as well as the
ozonesonde sensor current and pump thermistor resistance and produce a
data stream that can be transmitted by the RS-80 radiosonde. f) Be
compatible with the NOAA Climate Monitoring and Diagnostics Laboratory
ozonesonde software and data processing routines; 5) Ozonesonde must
be housed in a container that maintains the environmental conditions in
the temperature range 10-30 degrees Celsius, and 6) The ozonesonde and
its container must weigh 1.5 kilograms or less. No RFQ is available;
however, interested sources may respond by submitting documentation
that clearly demonstrates the capability to meet this requirement.
Responses must reference Synopsis No. NRMGP100900415JW. This
announcement/solicitation is being issued under the Simplified
Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13 (NTE $100,000.00). In the absence
of other qualified sources, it is the intent to award a sole source
procurement to ENSCI, Inc., Boulder, CO 80303. JACQUELINE WRIGHT,
