The project consists of the cleaning and painting of the structural steel on the bridge over Dead Run. The work includes surface preparation and painting of the structural steel, traffic control, and other work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Surface preparation and painting, steel structure, LPSM; Containment system and worker protection plan, LPSM; Temporary concrete barrier, 650 m; Moving temporary concrete barrier, 230 m; Variable message sign, 2 each; Shadow vehicle, 1 each; Sod 2100 m2; Temporary crash cushion, inertial barrier system, 3; Construction sign, 50 m2. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1,000,000 per contract.
