Notice of Intent to negotiate a sole source contract with J&J Maintenance Services, Inc., 3755 Capital of Texas Hwy (Suite 355), Austin, TX 78704, for base housing maintenance of 1300 family quarters, and repair and maintenance of vacant quarters (between occupancy) in all housing areas. Work includes services under $2,000 in cost per task required to maintain 1300 units to include preventive maintenance items, repair of garbage disposals, dishwashers and water heaters, all service orders during normal working hours, emergency calls after normal hours, receiving work order calls from housing occupants during normal work hours, and performing maintenance and repair tasks in all vacant quarters. Work includes both Service Contract Act work (service order work of occupied quarters) and Davis Bacon Act work (maintenance/repair of both occupied and vacant quarters). Period of performance is 1 April 1999 through 30 September 1999 with a six-month option. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by requesting a copy of the scope of work and bid schedule,SCA and Davis Bacon wage determinations. Interested parties shall submit a detailed transition plan and pricing to this office NLT 22 Mar 99 in order to be considered. This action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A letter requesting a copy of the solicitation will not constitute a response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
