of work consists, but is not strictly limited to providing all labor,
material, equipment and supervision as necessary to remove the
building_s Jackson Street handicap entrance, including inner and outer
sliding doors, curved glass enclosure, outside activation pad and key
card reader with stanchion, motor and drive mechanisms, and all
electrical control equipment. Install, in the same location, a
double-leaf swinging emergency exit doors and hardware to match
existing emergency exit doors and hardware located further west on the
same side of the building. Repair granite flooring where existing
entrance vestibule is removed and repair exterior granite paving where
any outside penetrations were made. Install a new handicap entrance on
the east side of the building at Dearborn Street. New entrance will be
located between the two existing revolving doors used as the principle
means of access to the building. New entrance will have inner and outer
sliding doors, heavy-duty drive and control mechanisms, and it shall
blend with the architectural elements already in place at the main
lobby level. Provide new outside activation button with key card reader
for after-hour access. Completion time for this project, number of
calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed, has not been
determined. Estimated financial range is between $100,000 and $200,000.
Specifications are not available at this time. The proposed contract
has been solicited on a Set-aside for small business participation.
