16 -- ENHANCEMENTS TO AUTOMATIC RIPCORD RELEASE (AR2) DUE 032699 POC Jane H. Sutherlin, Contracting Officer, 910/432-2146 This is a notice of intent to purchase the following Upgrades, conversions, revisions to the Automatic Ripcord Release (AR2) Automatic Opening Devices from L.J. Engineering, Inc., 18192 Gothard Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. Enhancements to Model 451-500 (1658 each) Several safety-related proprietary product and process improvements will be applied to the devices. Conversions to Model 453-001 (60 each) Electromechanical Test Chamber will be converted from analog to digital (60 each). Standard padded pockets will be replaced with an improved design (Model 451-280-1)(1658 each). Addition of Wrist Altimeter Test Chamber (Model 467-000)(60 each). Addition of Barometric Calculator (P/N 466-001) (60 each) Offerors who can furnish the required proprietary item enhancements/revisions, may submit, in writing, a sufficient technical data, brochures, etc. to include pricing (FOB Destination) to indicate their capability to provide these changes to proprietary items. All responses must be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this CBD notice. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be awarded on a competitive basis. No additional synopsis will be published.
