The Fort Knox Public Affairs Office (PAO), which provides oversight and final approval authority for installation news and editorial content, is seeking sources for the Civilian Enterprise (CE) post guide publication. The CE guide is printed and distributed by civilian printers annually under contract with the Fort Knox installation. The news and editorial content is approved and provided by the PAO. Prospective CE publishers sell advertising to cover costs and secure earnings and print the publication, as no appropriated or nonappropriated funds can be used to pay for any part of the publication and printing process. The contract requires the printing and distribution of a minimum of 7500 printed and 9500 CD ROM copies of the guide with the phone directory.
