for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
12.6 as supplemented current as of FAC 97-10. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitatio and is issued as a Request for
Quotation (RFQ). A written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are
due 4:30 pm local time on 18 March 1999. The Government anticipates a
single award to the contractor with the most advantageous offer to the
Government. This acquisition is set-aside for small business and is
subject to the Non-Manufacturer Rule. SIC 3799 Transportation Equipment

factors are: Ability to meet Government's Requirement, Delivery Time,
Trade-In Allowance and proximity of service location or roaming service
technician. When combined they are slightly more important than price.
There is one (1) line item on this RFQ. Item 0001: Utility Vehicle 7
Each. These vehicles are 4-wheeled and will be utilized to make short
trips for on-base hauling of tools, parts, and miscellaneous service
equipment (i.e. ladders, generators, landscaping equipment) Vehicle
must be capable of carrying two (2) personnel and mustmeet all minimum

Safety Standards as outlined in49 CFR Part 571 (docket No. NHTSA
98-3949) RIN 2127-AG58-Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Must
have a load capacity of 1500 lbs. Cargo box/bed must be capable of
carrying 750 lbs with tilt capability. Vehicle must have a permanently
mounted extended cab enclosing the operator and passenger. Cab will
have roll-down windows, locks, vinyl seats, heater for cold weather
operation, windshield wipers. Instrumentation: speed gauge, odometer,
engine oil gauge, fuel gauge. Engine must be low-emission and easily
maintainable. Engine must use minimum octane (87) unleaded gasoline and
standard lubricants. Must be capable of a turning radius not to exceed
12 feet. Must be capable of being upgraded in the future with ladder
carriers, ramps, tool boxes, etc. Manufacturer's authorized service
location must be within 25 miles of the 182nd Airlift Wing or the mfg
must have a roaming truck to provide prompt service. Government looking
for a 2 year warranty. Government is trading in seven (7) Daihatsu's on
this purchase. To coordinate a site-visit to view the equipment contact
Capt Reid at the number listed above. These vehicles were purchased
between 1990 & 1992 and have an average of 9,000 miles on them. Quote
must include reps & certs completed, ordering information & quote
broken down as follows: price of utility vehicle minus the trade-in
allowance for a net price. Delivery within 60 days and quote must be
DESTINATION priced. Prospective quoters must ensure registration in CCR
