commercial items prepared in accordance with the format provided in
FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included
in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
a written solicitation will not be issued. Refer to solicitation as RFQ
No. N00140-99-R-2154. This office intends to award a Firm, Fixed Price
contract for the supply and delivery of a centrifugal air conditioning
chiller, engineering specifications of the unit, and start-up training
for the chiller at the NAVICP Philadelphia Public Works Center.
Delivery is tentatively scheduled for after 15 October 1999. The actual
place and time for delivery will need to be coordinated with the NAVICP
Phila. Public Works Office. CLIN 0001: ITEM: CENTRIFUGAL HIGH
EFFICIENCY A/C CHILLER. 400 ton capacity centrifugal chiller with 180
KW power consumption at design conditions of .520 KW per ton.
Refrigerant to be either R-123 or R-134a. Nominal capacity to be 400
tons, voltage 460 3 phase 60 cycles. Options to be included are as
follows: 1) Insulation package 2) Refrigerant monitor 3) Marine water
boxes on evaporator 4) Marine water boxes on condenser 5) Spring
isolators 6) Starter power connection non-fused disconnect 7) Five year
compressor warranty. The manufacturer shall also include operations and
maintenance manuals, shop drawings with dimensions, factory test
reports, training to operate the equipment, a factory representative
for start-up and initial control settings, initial refrigerant charge,
starter control panel, refrigerant monitor, vibration isolators, and
insulation package. The unit must not exceed 96 inches in height.
Engineering design requirements are as follows: a) 400 ton capacity, b)
evaporator temp. in: 55 F, temp. out: 45 F, flow rate: 930 GPM c)
condenser temp. in: 85 F, temp. out: 95 F, flow rate: 1,200 GPM. NOTE
TO OFFEROR: Offerors should contact John Stefano at (215) 697-9608 for
a more detailed list of required specifications. FAR Part 52.212-1 is
applicable. A statement complying with Paragraph (b)(11) of this
clause must be included in the offer. The following FAR clauses are
also applicable 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. The
following DFARS clauses are also applicable 252.212-7000 and
252.212-7001. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the
provisions at FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000 with their offer.
