Geological Survey in Anchorage, Alaska has a requirement to upgrade its existing 10Base-T hubs to managed modular 10Base-T/100Base-TX switches. The work will include all installation and testing necessary to upgrade the existing 10 Base-T to a 10/100 Base-TX Fast Ethernet network. These switches should provide scalable low-cost switching for voice, data, and video with high-availability and high-performance capability, be fully Y2K compliant, and allow the USGS to take full advantage of policy-based network management. The switches shall be HP ProCurve 4000M switches or equal. The installation services are to be obtained through Firm-Fixed-price contract. This procurement is conducted as a Commercial Item (services) acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 15 and incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-10. Cost range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Expected performance period is 45 days. SELECTION CRITERIA:(a)conformance to the specifications contained inthe RFP;(b) overall value to the government where factors other than price, when combined with price, are more important than price alone.
