AIR ARMAMENT SUMMIT The Air Armament Center (AAC) at Eglin AFB will be hosting an Air Armament Summit on 25-26 May 1999. The summit will review requirements pull and technology push opportunities for the future of Air Armament. The purpose of the Summit is to produce an Air Armament Roadmap through the year 2025. The intent of this activity is to provide relevant information for planning purposes and will not directly result in any new contracts. Participation is entirely voluntary and does not create any obligation on the Government for payment. See CBD Submission Number 282630 for more information on who may attend. US companies interested in making contributions to an Air Armament Strategic Plan through 2025 or those who are actively conducting research or development on Air Armament Technologies are invited to submit whitepapers in the following strategic areas: Global Environment/Threat/Military Strategy; Science & Technology; Resources. Whitepapers may address new and/or improved Air Armament concepts, technology opportunities (basic research, exploratory and/or advanced development, or acquisition), and Roadmap proposals. Industry and Academia are encouraged to provide information regarding their current and/or planned investments in armament-related areas and to provide assessments of the armament industrial base now and in the future.
