Sec., (415)977-8570. This Procurement is a l00% Set-Aside for Small
Business. The work consists of Maintenance Dredging from Sta. 30+00 to
52+00 of approximately 69,300 cubic yards of material to provide a
project depth of minus 15 feet MLLW, plus 1 foot allowable overdepth,
and disposing of all dredged material in the Designated
Government-Furnished North Harbor Upland Disposal Area. The material
shall be excavated in approximately 3,000 cubic yards increments and
transported to the Upland Disposal Area for dewatering (the capacity of
the Upland Disposal Area is approximately 7 million gallons). Upon
delivering the approximate 3,000 cubic yards to the Upland Disposal
Area, the Contractor shall stop disposal for 16 days. During this time,
the decant water and 3,000 cubic yards of dredged sediments will be
removed by the Moss Landing Harbor District. After 16 days, the
Contractor shall again deliver another approximate 3,000 cubic yards to
the Upland Disposal Area, then stop again for 16 days. This cycle shall
be repeated for all material designated for the Upland Disposal Area.
During this period, the Upland Disposal Area may, at the discretion of
the Contracting Officer, become unavailable for Contractor use a
maximum of 20 calendar days, continuously or intermittently, at no
additional cost to the Government. The Contractor shall coordinate his
dredged material disposal operations with the Moss Landing Harbor
District, who is responsible for sampling, testing, and monitoring the
decant water, monitoring and maintaining the berms and weir, and
removing and disposal of all dredged sediments from the Upland Disposal

and mail to the address shown above. Estimated Cost Range of Project:
From $500,000. to $1,000,000. NOTE: (1) The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 1629. The Small
Business Size Standard is $13.5 million. The number of employees or
annual receipts indicates the maximum allowed for a concern, including
its affiliates, to be considered small. Dredging: To be considered
small for purposes of government procurement, a firm must perform at
least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or
equipment owned by another small dredging concern. (2) "ATTENTION --
