The Defense Supply Service -- Washington on behalf of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army for International Affairs intends to execute a bridge modification under Contract No. DASW01-97-D-0103 to extend the period of performance from 15 April through 14 July 1999 (three-month base period) with three (3) one-month options. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, the cost-plus-fixed fee modification will be negotiated on a sole source basis with AB Technologies, In., 1600 Beauregard Street, Suite 300, Alexandria, VA 22311-1720. The bridge modification will provide the Army a means to continue analytic and administrative support services to the Office of Army International Affairs and other elements of Headquarters, Department of the Army, to examine the roles and alternative strategies for employing and managing Army International Affairs. Supporting tasks address a functional review of Army International Activities, recommended policy development, resource management, multinational force compatibility and operational concerns. Support also includes assisting in the development of Army International Affairs policy and on politico-military (military to military) security assistance, Defense Cooperation in Armaments, foreign liaison and international commemorations program issues.
