The Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition to the Institute of Neurotoxicology and Neurological Disorders to provide specialized analysis of methlymercury exposure in identified unique monkey tissues. This project will gather information concerning the mechanisms of neurotoxicity produced by chronic low-level exposure to methylmercury, comparing effects of in-utero plus postnatal exposure to effects produced by exposure developmentally and sacrificed as older adults, and for which a large amount of data on neurological function was collected.
