/. E-MAIL: http://www.info.usaid.gov, helowenthal@usaid.gov. This is
not a solicitation. USAID Morocco is issuing this notice to announce
its intent to award follow-on work under Contract No.
608-Ccc-94-00-00006 on a sole source basis to AMIDEAST. Follow on work
will be for a period of ten weeks with a total estimated cost to
$259,000. The purpose of the follow-on work is to allow the contractor
to continue the institutionalization of in-country training experience
in the five Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) of AlHoceima, Errachidia,
Essouira, Ouarzazate and Sidi Kacem from one third of the professors to
include all the professors that prepare the next generation of primary
school teachers in the provinces within which USAID works. This
additional training will assure that all key players will better
prepare the TTC graduates who will be sent out to the rural schools
with the skills necessary to be more effective in multi-level,
gender-sensitive, and locally relevant pedagogical teaching. There is
no RFP for this additional work. There is, however, a brief statement
of work which will be made available to interested parties. Posted
