The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has a requirement for "Public Education and Awareness for Fire and EMS Prevention and Protection". The contractor shall be responsible for conducting research, developing and implementing at least one new national fire safety public education campaign per year; develop fire safety messages and materials for the purpose of reducing fire fatalities, injuries and property loss; evaluate and test the messages/materials; recruit fire safety partners to assist with the delivery of messages and materials; and track, gather and maintain wire fire fatalities and related fire stories throughout the United States. The resulting contract will have a Base Period followed by four (4) one-year option periods. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about May 3, 1999 with a closing date on or about June 21, 1999.
