CONTRACTOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION RENOVATION OF FORT POINT STATION, BOSTON, MA AND CENTRAL SQUARE STATION, CAMBRIDGE, MA The Windsor Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT will be prequalifying contractors to perform construction renovation projects at the two following postal facilities: Central Square Station, Cambridge, MA -- This project consists of renovations and modifications to the existing 48,000 sf building on Massachusetts Avenue. Interior renovations and modifications will be made to the basement, first and second floor. The project also includes a new roof, a new loading platform extension and new mechanical and electrical systems. Fort Point Station, Boston, MA -- This project consists of the phased renovation of approximately 25,000 sf of space in the General Mail Facility located at 25 Dorchester Avenue. The scope includes renovation of the Fort Point Station Post Office into a new Postal Retail Store as well as the relocation and renovation of other postal operations. The work will include carpentry, flooring, ceilings, finishes, security, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and roofing. The estimated project cost range for each project is $3.4 million to $4.3 million dollars.
