This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) 36-99-08 and offers are to be received by 4:30 p.m., 03/26/99. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-09. Following is description of item(s)including minimum requirements: Item: 1 Tilt Trailer with the following specifications: 1.) Trailer to be rated at 60,000 LB Capacity. 2.) Axles, Two Minimum of 20,000 LB Capacity Each. 3.) Kingpin, 18 inch setting with a 74 inch swing clearance. 4.) Ten foot Hydraulic tail full width deck with thirteen inch fold down bumper and traction aids 24 inches on center with 20,000 lbs lift capacity. 5.) Hydraulic actuated tail lock. 6.) Winch 12,000 lb. with level wind mounted on fromt of upper deck located so as not to interfere with cargo area, with remote control socket at front and rear, with remote control. 7.) Deck width 96 inches with D Ring tie downs on 48 inch centers on left and right sides from front to rear. 8.) Deck height maximum 36 inches. 9.) Trailer length 46 feet. 10.) Electrical per DOT Regulations with mid turn signal. 11.) Red and white conspicuity marking tape per DOT regulations. 12.) Two speed telescopic park stand crank on curb side. 13.) Air Brakes per DOT with Automatic slack adjusters. 14.) Lighting system harness to be sealed and all lights rubber mounted. 15.) Mud flaps per DOT regulations. 16.) Oak decking 2 inch, steel over tires and 24 inches on each side of hydraulic ramp runningfull length. 17.) Color preference forest service green, alternative white. 18.) One chain box in upper deck and one dry tool box in upper deck. 19.) Serviced prior to delivery. 20.) Delivery to SRI: One Mile iInside Aiken Barricade, Aiken, S.C. 29802, with Service Manuals and Parts Manuals. 21.) Trailer shall be equipped with 12 Volt Power supply connections that will be of standard truck type to lights, winch, and hydraulics that will properly operate all systems. 22.) A delivery schedule is not specified. Therefore, when submitting your offer please provide your delivery information, i.e.: 30 days after receipt of order. Delivery schedule may be considered when making the award decision for this solicitation. 23.) Specification Sheet shall be submitted with your offer that provides sufficient information for the Government to determine if the tilt trailer offered meets all Government requirements.
