66 -- ELECTRIC FISH BARRIER SYSTEM POC Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer, Sheila Winston-Vincuilla (978) 318-8159 The Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract award with Smith Root, Inc. to fabricate and install an electric fish barrier system across the West River at the Townshend Fish Trap Facility in Townshend, VT. The supplier shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of electric fish barrier systems. The electric fish barrier shall be customized to fit the configuration of the existing fish trap facility, and shall be effective in preventing upstream passage of adult North Atlantic Salmon while simultaneously allowing the safe downstream migration of Smolt. The new electric fish barrier shall be installed, tested and completely functional on or before 30 September 1999. No solicitation will be issued.
